Bob Greene Was Wrong
This John Kass column defends the decision to fire him and I think gets it exactly right:
It's quite simple.
She was in high school, brought to this newspaper by her parents. They trusted and respected him. They were in awe of him.
And he did what he did with their daughter.
Eugene Volokh has a different point of view, which I think is wrong. (Can I say that? Who am I, anyway?)
